WHY
MULTI CHANNEL AND NOT JUST CYMK PRINTING
WHEN
DIGITALLY PRINTING ON TO TEXTILE SUBSTRATES
More
coverage of colour space = more colours printed correctly

REASONS to
use more Ink Dye or Pigment colours
Textile substrates absorb the colour.
CYM
theoretically will print all colours but this is assuming that inks are
pure
cyan, pure yellow and pure magenta. This is not the case today.
It is possible to work in greater colour space on the
monitor & transfer in
Adobe RGB 1998 or LAB environment.
To achieve
flame reds, rich purples and deep emerald greens or rich blues at least
a blue
& orange should be added to the cyan, magenta, yellow & black.
