Colour Interlink RIP IN and RIP IN QUEUE Software Programs

Ultimately the aim for production sites is to import the image, control the image, enter the length or number of units to be printed and send the image via the print program directly to the printer queue as quickly as possible. Similar jobs are batched to ensure speed and error free work.

The function of the print queue is to send on the next job in the queue automatically as soon as the previous job is finished. This has enabled sites to run the printers day and night without constant supervision.

Textile printers for home and fashion printing have different demands for their production. Often they will decide what repeat and size to print when the image is imported into the Rip In. There is step and repeat functionality including multiple drops, and even 45 degrees for tie printing. If a specific repeat is made, this can be stored for use again for repeat order or for production on acceptance of sample.

Colour books or direct calculation of the image colour data by the Rip In easily meet customer colour and reproducibility demands. Explore -wide format and Digital Printing Guidelines for further details.

Design data formats include vector and raster formats. Vector formats include EPS, PS and one layer PDF files. Raster formats include the range of Tif formats, Jpeg, BMP, GIF. If you work in RGB the imported file will be transformed within an RGB colour environment, if it is LAB it will be transformed to the RGB environment, which closely matches the chosen inks. Files may be 8 bit and 24 bit or with some specific formats in 16 bit file format. The Rip In solution may be connected to the internal network of the company so that designs are easily pulled down from the central server.

There are a range of printers that are running with the Colour Interlink Rip In Rip In Queue. These include the Roland and Mutoh family, the Reggiani and Robustelli printers. For further information about hardware go to Hardware and Hardware Accessories.
